Wondering how you can represent your country in either the World Archery European or World Championships?

 

GB Team

The GB Team is selected around June each year, for the event that takes place later in the same year. The qualification period runs from May to May - roughly, based on event dates. For example, the qualification period for the 2026 World Championships started on 19th May 2025, and will end sometime in May 2026 (set once event dates are known)

• Archers that have achieved THREE qualification scores at AGB 3D events* within the last qualification period will be invited to join the team (or those with highest scores should there be more than 3 in a category)
• Required qualification scores are as per the "16th place" scores in the table below
• If there are spare places on the team, or empty categories, archers shooting close to qualification scores may be invited to join the team at the discretion of AGB
• If no archers in a category are shooting at or near the required scores, the category will remain empty.

*Note that events must be "qualification events", set to the required AGB standards.

 

Archery GB 3D squad

The squad is NOT the team, and being a member of the squad does not guarantee you a place on the team - likewise, you do not have to be part of the squad to be a member of the team!

The squad will be selected each year, on dates aligned with team qualification, which is normally near the end of May.  There will be a further "intake" in the Autumn, in advance of the following season.  To be selected for the squad, you need to meet the following criteria:

• Must be a member of Archery GB
• Must have attended at least three AGB 3D shoots in the past 12 months
• Are demonstrating a consistently high level of shooting (at least two scores within 5% of a 16th place score)
• Should be willing to assist and attend squad training days, where possible

International events are senior class only, but the squad may choose to invite juniors along to training days to bring them up to squad levels.  Past members of the 3D GB Team may be invited to join the squad.

16th place scores

The scores listed below are the average score achieved by the 16th placed archer at the World & European championships over the last 6 events (3 x World, 3 x European)

Note that these scores (16th place) will be the qualification scores for the 2026 World Championships.
