The Archery GB 3D squad is a pathway to international competitions. Our job is to identify and grow talent in UK 3D archery, drawing from AGB archers as well as those currently shooting with other societies.
We aim to create a centre of excellence in the UK, providing training days, seminars, and expert guidance to help our archers reach new heights.
The squad is looking for archers who have already demonstrated their skills and commitment to 3D archery, or those who show potential and a desire to represent GB on the international stage. The squad will be selected each year, on dates aligned with team qualification. To be selected for the squad, you need to meet the criteria as laid out on the qualification page.
Note that being on the squad is not a pre-requisite for team selection; if an archer has achieved the necessary qualification scores, they will be invited to be part of the team, using the standard procedures.
The squad will hold four training events each year, backed up by online seminars on a variety of topics. Training sessions will have fees associated with them, payable at different rates for "Team", "Squad" and "Guest" attendees. Events with restricted numbers; Team/Squad will be given first priority.
Where possible, we will include online access to events, to allow participation across the country.
Please see the Events page for confirmed events. The plan for 2025/2026 includes:
The squad receives a small training budget from Archery GB, but is actively seeking sponsorship to fund the GB 3D team at International events. Please see the funding page for more details.
The world championships will be held in Yankton, South Dakota, USA. We intend to send a team of between 16 and 24 archers. Archers are unfunded and will need to raise £2,500 - £3,000 for travel costs, entry fees and accommodation.
